TENT is a new Art Weekend taking place throughout Aotearoa and online, presented by the team who deliver the Auckland Art Fair. The inaugural edition of TENT will feature live exhibitions across the country and also online, and will take place from Thursday 4 – Sunday 7 November across New Zealand.

25+ galleries will present an off-site / pop-up exhibition, anywhere in Aotearoa New Zealand (but NOT in their own gallery space) – and at the same time, show the art online in specially created online viewing rooms at www.tent.art

Online Exhibition: 2pm Thurs 4 – 8pm Sun 7 November

Live Exhibition: 5 - 7 November

Föenander Galleries will be presenting a new series of works from artists Michael Dell, Billy McQueen, Roger Mortimer, Neal Palmer, Barry Ross-Smith, Ramon Robertson & more. The presentation features selection of pieces especially created for TENT, as well works which anticipate what is to come in the galleries calendar.

Alongside this presentation the gallery is proud to be launching Roger Mortimer’s newly published book: Apocrypha: The Maps of Roger Mortimer

This beautifully produced book (by Index Publishing) is a comprehensive survey of Roger's map paintings, of the last 12 years. The 160 page book is heavily illustrated with Roger’s intricately detailed works and will hold a special place in the landscape of contemporary NZ literature. An impressive line-up of writers from a variety of disciplines have contributed to the insightful collection of essays.

The book launch will include an introduction and floor talk by two of the editors and will also see the launch - for the first time - of a very limited edition print, as well as the Auckland debut of a magisterial nine-panel painting.
