Envy6011 is proud to present new works by Travis MacDonald, notably his first solo exhibition in New Zea- land. Trance is a series of paintings on altered canvases drawing references from crafts and social dynamics within counter-culture movements, such as communal living. Drawing upon his upbringing in rural Australia and New Zealand, MacDonald’s bizarre-yet-familiar works portray his poetic hand and the world as he sees it.

Travis MacDonald (b. 1990, Bunnythorpe, New Zealand) lives and works in Melbourne, Australia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art at the Victorian College for the Arts, Melbourne in 2011 and has been exhibiting regularly since.
