Bergman Gallery is a commercial dealer gallery established in 2016 in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, and is dedicated to the exhibition of Modern Pacific Art. Directed by Ben Bergman, Bergman Gallery represents artists from the broader Pacific region. Alongside a regular domestic schedule of exhibition, the gallery is constantly exploring off-shore showcases and offers a limited artist in residence program.
Bergman Gallery will open its new exhibition space on 25th June 2022 at 3/582 Karangahape Road with the inaugural exhibition Te Atuitanga - Between Our Clock of Stars.
Gallery director Ben Bergman states, ‘We are constantly exploring new opportunities for the artists that we represent. The new exhibition space in Auckland evolves the gallery mission to develop and exhibit Pacific artists on a domestic, regional and international level. Our extension into the largest Pacific city in the world is an important part of that strategy. We also look forward to being part of the history of K Road, with its unique connection to the Pacific and LGBTQIA+ community and position within Auckland’s art gallery forum.'
