Brick Bay Sculpture Trail is an open air gallery, specialising in the exhibition and sale of contemporary sculpture by leading New Zealand artists. The trail is situated within the Brick Bay property which also encompasses the farm, vineyard and Glass House Restaurant.
Opening to the public in 2007, the trail began with a small selection of sculpture and has expanded over the years to be a rich and varied exhibition of over 60 artworks including sculpture suspended in lakes, sound works and kinetic sculpture. The Brick Bay Sculpture Trust was set up to operate as a charitable trust with surplus revenues being available to assist selected artists in meeting production costs.
Set in an idyllic natural environment, the trail meanders past lakes, farmland, vineyards and into the exquisite native bush, including a magical Kauri grove. The exhibition is always changing and is open year-round, therefore appealing to lovers of art and nature alike.
