We are excited to welcome Lindsey de Roos as our new Public Programmes and Communications Coordinator!

Lindsey has come all the way from Tāmaki Makaurau where she has just finished her role as the curator of the Malcolm Smith Gallery along with her many jack of all trades roles as an Art and Design Technician at the Auckland University of Technology. After recently completing her Masters in Visual Art, researching racial equity within art academia from AUT. Lindsey is excited to engage with Ōtepoti community and continue her work through facilitation.

Blue Oyster would like to sincerely thank Mya Morrison-Middleton for her amazing work as Public Programme Coordinator & Digital Project Assistant. Mya joined us in 2020 and has been instrumental in the development of our new website, our beloved public programme, and the general vibes of Blue Oyster ever since. Mya has done everything from appearing with hot soup during a wintery plant walk, initiating a mātauraka Māori D&D group, hosting robust artist talks, and being a social media star for Matairaki, a programme she developed for the Puaka Matariki Festival. We are so grateful for Mya’s generosity, wisdom, and humour during a hell of a couple of years.
