• Campbell Patterson is represented in New Zealand by Michael Lett.

New Zealand Friends of Gasworks are delighted to announce that Campbell Patterson (New Zealand) has been awarded the three-month residency at Gasworks London from 28 September – 14 December 2020.

Campbell has worked extensively in painting, printmaking, writing, video, sculpture and performance. He uses his own body to recreate everyday situations and rituals, searching for spirituality through routine and repetition. His work aims to explore the texture of everyday life and the intangible aspects of the routines we use to navigate our existence.

During his residency in London, Campbell is planning to interrogate ideas around personal space and hygiene, taking advantage of his own position as a stranger in an unfamiliar place. Born in Portsmouth UK, Campbell moved to New Zealand before the age of one.
