Enjoy Contemporary Art Space is looking for an energetic and engaged Managing Director to join our team. Founded in 2000, Enjoy is a leading independent art space located in Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand. Enjoy provides opportunities for emerging and established arts practitioners to develop new and innovative work to reach inclusive audiences, and promote critical discourse around contemporary practice in Aotearoa. This kaupapa is carried out through exhibitions, an annual residency, offsite projects, public programmes and publications.
The Managing Director will be responsible for realising Enjoy’s strategic vision through all aspects of the organisation’s relationships, including our commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. This includes developing and delivering a fundraising programme that nurtures a diverse range of supporters, engaging key stakeholders, finance and operations management, managing staff, and reporting to the Enjoy Trust.
This unique opportunity will enable the right candidate to bring their vision to the gallery, work with practitioners of all backgrounds, and help shape Enjoy’s path for the next three years.
