Renowned among the design industry in New Zealand, the Nanette Cameron School of Interior Design was established in 1967 by the pioneering design powerhouse of its namesake. This comprehensive two-year foundation course has been empowering students for decades to create satisfying home environments. The aim of the course is to develop the awareness of design and to give students the knowledge and the confidence to be able to create a personal and beautiful home.


The two-year course provides an extensive foundation and grounding in all aspects of interior design, enabling students to:

-Have the confidence to make decisions on projects for their own home build or renovation

-Work with design professionals on their own home projects

-Step into entry-level roles within the design industry, such as showrooms, studios

By attending one 2.5 hour class per week, students gain a strong foundation in subjects such as colour, history, visual communication and materials. Open to all levels of experience.
