Gus Fisher Gallery is currently looking for an experienced Gallery Assistant to support the team through artwork invigilation and oversight of day-to-day visitor flow during the exhibition Derek Jarman: Delphinium Days, 15 June – 14 September 2024. The role is offered on a fixed term part-time basis to be worked on Fridays and Saturdays during the exhibition.⁠

Through roaming invigilation and monitoring, you will contribute to front of house procedures and instill best practice through the upkeep of gallery spaces. You will provide a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors to the gallery and be a point of information about the exhibition. With prior experience of working as part of a gallery team in a front of house capacity, you will have demonstrable experience of working in a public space to monitor audience engagement. You will be a confident communicator and understand allyship of LGBTQIA+ communities. A passion for contemporary art and experience of assisting with events is preferred.⁠
