The Govett-Brewster - Len Lye Centre is a contemporary art museum of the Pacific, located in Ngāmotu New Plymouth, Taranaki, with an international reputation. The Gallery continues to build on its 50 year legacy of presenting meaningful contemporary art that explores and celebrates who we are - our communities, cultures, histories and understandings of the world.

The Gallery has a fantastic permanent opportunity for a dynamic Executive Officer Ringahāpai Matua to join the team. Reporting to the Director, this full-time role assists with the day-to-day administration requirements of senior Govett-Brewster/Len Lye Centre staff and wider team.

You'll have great administration experience, working knowledge of key Microsoft software packages, and proven problem solving and communication skills. The Executive Officer is a critical central component of our team, working across the whole organisation and maintaining professional relationships with a number of external patrons and stakeholders including members of the New Plymouth District Council.

We are looking for a warm and professional communicator able to relate to a diverse range of people and act with a high standard of responsibility and accountability. You will also support the organisational values of He Ngākau Toi, Ōritetanga, Mana Tangata, Oranga Tangata, Kotahitanga and Hāpaitanga, and ensure that Council policies and procedures are adhered to.
