Gus Fisher Gallery is currently looking for a dynamic Gallery & Engagement Assistant to provide a welcoming atmosphere to visitors and support the team through administrative and visitor-centered services. With an ability to discuss the programme in a confident and engaging way, this role leads on the conception and delivery of family-friendly weekend activities in liaison with the Public Programmes & Engagement Officer.
Ideally, you will have experience of working in an art gallery or museum context, either as an employee or volunteer. You will be passionate about contemporary artistic practice and the role that galleries play in helping to create ways for audiences to engage with art. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and prior experience in a public facing role.
The role is offered two days per week, ideally worked Fridays and Saturdays (the weekday is negotiable). Applications must be submitted online by the closing date of 7 July 2023 to be considered.
