Established in 1998, Bottle Creek is Pātaka’s community gallery. The name comes from the late 60s creative colony located on the shores of the Pāuatahanui inlet that included artists and writers Robin White, Sam Hunt and Michael King.

Bottle Creek is reserved for artists and community groups who reflect or engage with the communities of Porirua. The gallery has no rental fee for local artists and groups. Exhibitions run for 5-6 weeks.

Does your kaupapa support ours? We'd love to hear your exhibition proposal. All exhibition proposals are considered by the exhibitions committee at meetings held quarterly throughout the year.

Bookings for the Bottle Creek Gallery are scheduled up to a year in advance.

The next exhibition proposal round closes on 23 October, 2023

The Bottle Creek Gallery features 32 metres of linear wall space, which can be extended by use of our movable walls and 130 square metres of floor space. Works don’t have to be for sale but if they are, Pātaka takes a 35% commission on all sold works.
