Te Uru is delighted to present the Portage Ceramic Awards 2023. This annual award provides a vital platform to showcase the diversity of contemporary clay practices in Aotearoa.

You can enter online here. Read the 2023 terms and conditions here.

Entries close midday Tuesday 22 August 2023. The awards are open to all new Zealand artists both established and emerging whose work spans sculptural and domestic clay traditions as well as other disciplines, including photography and videography.

SELECTION OF WORKS
The 2023 awards will have a two-stage process overseen by this year’s judge. An initial shortlist of works will be selected by the judge from submitted images. Shortlisted artists will then be invited to send their works to Te Uru for the final selection process. The judge will at this stage select the works for exhibition and the award winners.
