Two new opportunities to join the Enjoy team in Pōneke are now open. The Gallery is looking for a Curator (Exhibitions & Public Programmes) as well as a Communications & Publications Manager.

The successful candidates will be energetic, engaged and passionate about generating and curating contemporary art projects. This is a unique opportunity to work with practitioners of all backgrounds within the field of contemporary art, and you will have an interest in developing and supporting audiences.

These roles will work closely with the Director, the Enjoy Board of Trustees and volunteers to deliver a brave and lively programme that delivers to Enjoy’s overall vision and mission.

These are fixed-term part-time contracts that will enable the right candidate to bring their vision to the gallery, and to help shape Enjoy’s path for the next two years.

CURATOR (EXHIBITIONS & PUBLIC PROGRAMMES)

The Curator (Exhibitions & Public Programmes) role works closely with the Director to shape the curation of Enjoy’s programming, oversee a confident and inquisitive public programme of events and support day-to-day gallery operations.

The role works with artists, volunteers, performers and technicians to deliver a programme of exhibitions and public events that upholds the gallery’s vision and mission. The role will suit someone who is passionate about cultivating community relationships, helping a diverse range of audiences participate and engage in contemporary art.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a core member of a small and dynamic arts team, suitable for those with interest in developing experience in contemporary arts curation, administration, education outreach and event programming.

COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLICATIONS MANAGER

The Communications and Publications Manager role works closely with the Director to manage Enjoy’s communications, and to commission, coordinate and distribute digital and print publications on behalf of Enjoy. The role works with writers, independent practitioners and media organisations to widely promote our activities, mission and vision online, as well as delivering an ambitious and critical publication programme.

The role is an exciting opportunity to be a core contributor to a dynamic and energetic arts team, suitable for those with interest in communications, social media marketing, writing and critical art thinking.
