VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME
Become a part of Te Uru by joining our volunteer programme. Volunteering at the gallery is a great way to meet new people and learn more about contemporary art.
Our volunteer guides help the gallery and our community in many ways:
• talking to visitors about the current exhibitions
• guiding community group and school group visits
• offering additional support to the gallery’s education centre.
Te Uru volunteers undergo ongoing training for every season of exhibitions at the gallery, learning directly from our experienced educators and curatorial team. We also offer our volunteers a 10% discount at our gallery store and on all adult education classes.
We have rostered shifts throughout the week of 3 hours each, which are negotiated with our volunteer group.
