To the casual observer they may, at times, seem disparate but to the aficionado or ‘doddologist’ they represent a series of interlinked threads that weave and entwine to form their own unique, symbiotic ecosystem of stories, characters and geographies.’ – Karl Chitham
Wild Domain: The Natural History of Jane Dodd Jewellery, a brand new publication from The Dowse Art Museum, has been published on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name, which delves into her examination of humankind’s impact on the natural world. The publication features beautifully articulated responses to Jane’s practice from contributors Dr. Chelsea Nichols, Dr. Bronwyn Lloyd and Justine Olsen, as well as images from Haru Sameshima, long-time photographer of Jane’s jewellery. This publication is made possible through the generous support of Creative New Zealand.
