Join us at the Wairau Māori Art Gallery for an inspiring artist talk by Tia Barrett, a Māori moving image practitioner and photographer featured in our exhibition, Te Mōteatea a Maumahara.

Tia celebrates her wahine Māori identity and deepens her connection to her whenua and tūpuna through her lens-based practice. Tia's work, He Pounamu Ko Aū, explores her identity and journey of overcoming colonisation, using film, mōteatea, and installation.

This event is free and open to the public. Don’t miss the chance to hear Tia's insights and experience her powerful work. We look forward to seeing you there!
