We warmly invite you to join Catherine Roberts and the Parnell Gallery team in celebrating the opening of Roberts’ exhibition of new paintings, It is but it isn’t.

In this latest body of work Roberts engages with form and contrast to create a series of paintings where rich and vibrant colours preside.

Working in mixed media on canvas to large-scale, Roberts approaches each painting with an acceptance of serendipity; areas of paint move unhindered and colours are given reign to compose themselves. This practice allows for the full extension of Roberts’ media - flowing acrylics in contrasting and harmonious vivid hues are freely applied to the textured surface by guiding hands, sensitive to the art of letting go within a greater vision and discipline.
