In bringing together the Collection’s holdings of Māori Art, the exhibition considers that the 22 Māori artists represented share a world view, their works part of a whakapapa — the unceasing vital essence of Māori cultural expression.
Taarati will walk with manuhiri through the show, speaking to the works, and the multiple narratives and histories connecting throughout the exhibition.
