Join The Dowse to explore the brand new exhibition Strange Friends. In a tour led by curator Karl Chitham, artists featured in the exhibition will discuss the characters and environments depicted in their works. You may recognise yourself in some of the faces and places depicted, while in others the familiar lies just out of reach, strange friends both known and unknown.
Strange Friends features over 100 artworks by Alan Ibell, Andrew McLeod, Hannah Ireland, James Ormsby, John Ward Knox, Kate Small, Lorene Taurerewa, Nephi Tupaea, Sam Mitchell and Ursula Bradley.
