Dr. Ngahuia Murphy (Ngāti Manawa, Ngāti Ruapani ki Waikaremoana) is a mana wahine researcher, storyteller, director and author of the books Te Awa Atua: Menstruation in the pre-colonial Māori world, Waiwhero: A celebration of womanhood and Ritual: Kurawaka LandBack (forthcoming). She is currently a New Zealand Health Research Council Postdoctoral Fellow.
Professor Leonie Pihama (Te Ātiawa, Ngā Māhanga a Tairi, Ngāti Māhanga) is a mother of six and a Kui of six. Current roles include Director of Research at Tū Tama Wahine o Taranaki and Director of Maori and Indigenous Analysis Ltd, a Kaupapa Maori research company. Leonie is a leading kaupapa Maori educator and researcher. Leonie is a Fellow of The Royal Society of New Zealand and was a recipient of the Hohua Tūtengaehe Post Doctoral Research Fellowship (Health Research Council) as well as the inaugural Ngā Pae o Te Maramatanga Senior Maori Fulbright Scholarship at the University of Washington.
Ngaropi Raumati (Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa) is the foundation member, Director, Senior Family Violence Programme Facilitator and community researcher for Tū Tama Wahine o Taranaki Inc. Ngaropi has worked in the social service area in a variety of environs for over 30 years. She is an active iwi member who has worked in the health and social justice for over 40yrs and is a recipient of The Nursing Network on Violence Against Women International Award.
