Please join Te Tuhi to celebrate the opening of Huarere: Weather Eye, Weather Ear with participating artists and curator Janine Randerson on Saturday 3 June from 4 – 6:30pm.

Huarere: Weather Eye, Weather Ear is the culmination of a year-long programme following the seasons of the Maramataka, in which Te Tuhi becomes a ‘weather station’ in the World Weather Network, a constellation of 28 international arts agencies spurred on by our collective experience of new, unwelcome weathers.

Our weather eye and weather ear are sensory alert systems. Attuning to cultural, scientific and activist ‘quasi-instruments’ of weather observation, the artists in Huarere: Weather Eye, Weather Ear offer a means of feeling and knowing our warming climes.
