A free downtown tour with renowned guide David Hill to discover the design transformation developed in partnership with Mana Whenua.

Te haerenga atu i Auckland ki Tāmaki Makaurau / The journey from Auckland to Tāmaki Makaurau - A guided tour to learn of the innovative transformation of downtown.

Join Auckland Walks Principal Guide, David Hill, on a free guided tour to learn about the designs for Quay Street, Te Wānanga, Te Ngau o Horotiu and Galway Street that were developed through a unique design partnership with Mana Whenua.

The tour will guide attendees through each of these projects and talk through the thinking, the processes, and the outcomes evident within each, and the way that the unique design partnership between Te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland Council, Auckland Transport and Mana Whenua has introduced a new, collaborative way of approaching large scale public realm developments.

These projects have all focussed on the power of collaborative design to create development which expresses who and where we are: Tāmaki Makaurau.

A Matariki Festival event sponsored by the Auckland Council Programme Development Fund and organised by Auckland Walks & Guides.
