In the 20th century we are bombarded with images which makes us somewhat immune to them, but it is not always so. In a gallery context the titles of the photographs are clues on how to 'read' them. However, if you look closely, beyond the subject of the photograph, you will often see details you have not noticed before.
Some photographs document the world around us, some remind us of who we are, some are political statements and some are there to challenge what we see seeing. In this exhibition we invite you to actively engage with the images; to look and think about what you are looking at. Notice what you haven't seen before.
