Transitional Acts presents the doctoral research of Auckland-based artist Jill McIntosh. The centrepiece of the exhibition is a substantial suite of highly tactile charcoal drawings and intaglio prints, which evidence McIntosh's early training as a printmaker. The exhibition also focuses on McIntosh's increasing expansion into sculpture and installation, through the inclusion of 3D printed objects that extend her drawing processes and installation-based works designed to amplify and refract light within the gallery space.
