Artspace Aotearoa is proud to announce Jingcheng Zhao as our Kaiwhakamahiri Pirihi Taiwhenua Curatorial Intern for 2025.

Jing loves to write, dive into different facets of exhibition-making and work with passionate artists: what are they doing, what are they imagining, what are their desires and hopes? Her recent roles include Window Gallery curator for 2024, an archivist at Satellites, Audience Engagement and Administrative Assistant at Te Tuhi and has experience across film and theatre.

Jing will deliver their own programme in our lower ground floor space, The Kit over the next 10 months and assist with the main gallery’s operations.

The Curatorial Internship is funded by Creative New Zealand and will be offered annually over the course of 2025–2027.
