The Good Oil, a podcast dedicated to long form conversations with Aotearoa painters and artists, has recently launched its third season, with a conversation with renowned Ngāpuhi painter Darryn George.
It presents a diverse mix of emerging, mid career and senior artists, with a main goal of bringing listeners ‘closer’ to painting by allowing them to hear more from painters and artists they may already be aware of, and introducing them to those they may not (but should!). Previous guests have included Dame Robin White, Hannah Ireland, Sir Grahame Sydney, Dame Gretchen Albrecht, Hamish Coleman, Jeffrey Harris, Ayesha Green and Hiria Anderson-Mita.
