“This is a monumental artwork: in form, scale and execution, but also in terms of its emotional and thematic gravitas.”
– Reuben Friend writing in Pantograph Punch, Feb 2021.

Over the past 12-months the Govett-Brewster Foundation has been leading a campaign to acquire one of the most important and powerful art works seen in the Gallery in recent years for the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery’s permanent collection – Brett Graham’s Cease Tide of Wrong-doing.

To reach their target and ensure this nationally significant artwork can remain in public hands, the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery are running a unique fundraising raffle to raise the last funds required.

Works from Brett’s exhibition Tai Moana Tai Tangata, including Cease Tide of Wrong-doing, are in contention to be included in two major international art exhibitions. The time to secure this work is now!
