About the role
This is a great opportunity for anyone who has a passion for the arts and wants to create memorable and innovative experiences for our audiences. We're looking for a an energetic, creative, and audience-focused person to join our team as Public Programmes Coordinator. This role will work across the three venues managed by the Arts and Culture team- The Dowse Art Museum, Petone Settlers Museum Te Whare Whakaaro o Pito-one and the Little Theatre. You will work closely with the Curatorial and Learning & Engagement teams to develop public programmes that support the Arts and Culture vision. You are responsible for ensuring public programmes are effectively promoted (with the support of the council communications team) and also plan events regularly within budget.
About you
You will have experience with events, workshops, talks and activation development across a variety of communities, excellent project management skills, be open to new ways of thinking and have a deep commitment to biculturalism.
