Project 100 is a multidisciplinary creative hub and gallery space in the heart of Nelson, launched last spring with the goal of providing an affordable and accessible platform for both emerging and established contemporary artists and makers.

Unlike traditional galleries, Project 100 gives artists full autonomy over the space for one month, allowing them a playground to test ideas, present exhibitions, or activate the space in new ways. Rather than taking a commission on sales, the gallery invites conceptual makers and creators to share their contemporary and progressive practices with the public. From small object makers, clay artists, textile workers, and jewellers to painters, art collectives, designers, photographers, furniture makers, writers, musicians, and performers—Project 100 welcomes creatives from all disciplines.

Alongside its self-funded monthly pop-up exhibition programme, Project 100 has expanded to offer several funded opportunities throughout the year for artists who meet their criteria. These opportunities are designed to bring fresh creative perspectives and innovation to the region and are ideal for artists looking to engage with the community as well as exhibit their work.

Applications are now open for exhibitions and projects taking place between November 2025 to November 2026. We welcome proposals from both individuals and collectives, for either a self-funded or funded opportunity. Please head to the Project 100 website and read through the application guide before applying.

Applications Close 31 March
