Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū is Christchurch's public art gallery in the heart of the city. This is your opportunity to join an experienced, dedicated and hardworking team, in the largest art institution in the South Island, and home to one of New Zealand's most important public art collections.

This crucial role of Lead Registrar is be responsible for:

- Leading the Registration team and the services that support the exhibitions and collections activities of the Gallery
- Planning, organising and controlling the functional output of staff within your area to achieve results and outcomes that drive achievement of the Gallery's visions and key performance indicators
- Keeping comprehensive records of the Gallery's collections and exhibition related activities which include overseeing the accessioning, cataloguing and maintenance of the collection database using Vernon CMS
- Supporting the Team Leader to manage local, national, and international art consignments, and oversee the packing, handling, and security of artworks
- Managing incoming and outgoing loans, whilst ensuring legal protection of the Gallery's collections through appropriate risk identification and management practices
- Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to exhibitions, acquisitions and loans including the preparation of documentation and correspondence to comply with all legal, ethical and procedural requirements
